Lynne Smith, PhD, MFT, CPC
Lynne escaped the rainy NW to enjoy sunshine and granddaughters in Henderson, Nevada in May of 2015. She was the Clinical Director for University of Phoenix (UOP) from August 2015 through October 2018, running the free clinic as well as teaching in the masters’ program. She continues as an online instructor for UOP. In October 2018, she became the Director of Program Development for Bridge Counseling Associates, the oldest and largest non-profit mental health agency here in Southern Nevada. Bridge offers individual, couples, child & adolescent, and group counseling to anyone in the community – homeless, undocumented, Medicaid, Spanish-speaking, insured or uninsured. The agency has a strong focus on teaching and supervision so their clinicians are some of the best. Lynne is a board member of the Southern Nevada EFT Community where they support the training and development of clinicians in Emotionally Focused Therapy, founded by Dr. Susan Johnson and the most empirically supported couples counseling process. Lynne is currently the president of the Nevada Counseling Association. The NCA is working to unite mental health professionals to support the much-needed services here in Nevada by offering mixers, meetings, trainings, and conferences.
