INSPIR3’s pilot project goals are:

  • Create an educational teaching hospital to train future mental health professionals for licensure thereby increasing quality of treatment as well as remedying the mental health professional shortage.

  • Provide affordable and accessible mental health services to everyone in the community.

  • Implement a self-sustaining, nonprofit business model that can be replicated across the United States.

This project will establish a mental health infrastructure, starting in Nevada and later expanding to other states, that will 1) address skyrocketing costs, 2) make services available to a wider audience, and 3) elevate the standard of mental health treatment.

Following pilot project implementation, INSPIR3’s additional goals are:

  • Remain at the forefront of mental health innovation by conducting research and publishing peer-reviewed papers aimed at administering, discovering, and contributing to the body of knowledge surrounding evidence-based, best-practices treatment methods.

  • Pursue, test, and implement new technological advances aimed at streamlining and integrating health services to break down existing barriers and silos in the industry and community.

  • Become a central service hub by developing an inter- and intra-referral network of community and mental health service providers aimed at delivering systemic, quality care to the population.

  • Become a financially independent and sustainable hospital through the use of secondary and tertiary revenue sources within the first five years of service delivery.

  • Increase access to mental health and substance abuse treatment by providing services to up to 25,000 people annually, resulting in a stronger social infrastructure.

  • Achieve higher levels of standardized professionalism and decrease mental health professional shortage by licensing and certifying 120 mental health professionals each year, resulting in increased quality and stability of the mental health and substance abuse treatment workforce and overall job economy.

  • Increase affordability of mental health and substance abuse treatment through decreased average expenditure per person per year (at least 10% less than the national average), resulting in reduced client relapse rates, over-prescription of opioids, and preventable deaths/conditions.

  • Expand mental health and substance abuse treatment services across the United States by founding at least 3 additional training hospitals in 10 years and establishing internship contracts with at least 5 national universities in 3 years.
